MY LAS VEGAS SHERIFF’S CARD SIGNED BY SHERIFF RALPH LAMB. To work in the gaming business in Las Vegas, you had to get a permit, called a Sheriff’s card. We got our first ones in 1966 when we played the Pussycat A’ Go Go. I sitll have this one signed by Sheriff Ralph Lamb, now portrayed on VEGAS by Dennis Quaid, from 1969 when we became the house band at the Flamingo Hotel’s Skyroom.

The first ten pages are what an agent will request if they show interest in a manuscript. Here’s a link to mine. Also, Part One of the book is off to first readers, a preview of Part Two, and Sheriff Ralph Lamb who was the Law when we played in the night clubs and casinos, portrayed by Dennis Quaid on the the CBS series, “Vegas”. SHERIFF RALPH LAMB was the Law in Las Vegas during the years Stark Naked and the Car Thieves played in Las Vegas (1966 to 1971). Starting in a few days on CBS is a show called “Vegas”, Dennis Quaid will portray Sheriff Ralph. Like everyone who played in Vegas, we had our Sheriff’s work card signed by him. Though we had several adventures with Sheriff Lamb’s younger brother, Larry, I never had the pleasure of meeting him personally. Here’s a recent article from the LA Times about ‘rough ‘n ready’ Sheriff Ralph.

THE PUSSYCAT A ‘GO GO AND REQUEL WELCH – 1969
Thanks to evan marshall, who found this, we’re looking up this movie because the Las Vegas nightclub scenes were supposedly shot in the Pussycat A ‘Go Go. It would be great to see the place if it was. Anyone out there ever been to the Pussycat in Las Vegas before it closed in 1972? Love to have some comments, and better yet, photos.
